It isn’t exactly a girlie gadget but we couldn’t resist this one. This piece of gadget goodness is highly functional especially during these hot summer months when flies drive you mad when you’re trying to enjoy a nice barbeque.

I’m especially drawn to it as I recently purchased two “natural” fly catchers and managed to kill them within hours due to my poor ability to grow anything in my garden.

I’m so excited I could spit.

I have no idea where that euphemism came from. Probably a boy. But it’s the first thing that came to mind when I read the news about KDDI.

Japan’s number two mobile phone carrier will be starting up KDDI Mobile - an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) on Sprint - here in the US.

Do we need another. You bet. If only for the Japanese feature phones. Sources in the know say they plan on catering only to Japanese expats in the US. I have no idea how that would work - don’t hate me because I’m American. But who cares. I can totally pretend to be Japanese.

Since three way calling was first taken up by the masses, I’ve been a little paranoid about who may be on the other line. Because, it could totally be a Mean Girls type scenario where your best gal pal phones to hear the scoop on your other best pal who just happens to be a little loose and listening in on the other line….unbeknown to you. Of course.

You get my point. Still, the paranoia hasn’t stopped me from liking and loving calling up the entire circle at once. It’s called multitasking, and you can now do it for free with FOONZ. Foonz is an online Skye like application that let’s you start group calls anytime from any phone for free.

It works something like this, apparently: You set up your free account, set up a Foonz contact list - all your chics and chiclets, and maybe the random family member - and get a free Foonz access number. Then you dial Foonz and they’ll fill you in on the rest. Whenever you want to three way, or six way, or how ever many ways suit your fancy, you just dial in, and a text message or IM message will be sent to everyone in your contact list asking them to join you.

International users will get the SMS. US peeps, will have to be satisfied with the IM.
