Sony Ericsson SO903iTV Bravia Mobile

Sony Bravia Mobile

I know I keep posting gadgets that aren’t yet meant for American shores, but who can blame me when they look like this. Sony Ericsson are set to release the first proper Bravia handset some time in June. And by Bravia I mean a mobile phone that has a built in TV tuner with time-shift video recording. A 3 inch wide screen with a slide function allows horizontal TV viewing. All the obligatory camera/mobile bits are also there. Bad news? Right now the Bravia phone will be staying in Sony country.

Just another goody the Japanese will be getting before us.

LG KE850 Prada Phone + Rant

Prada Phone

I saw this a few weeks ago but didn’t post it, because I’m lazy and because it’s hitting shelves in the US no time soon. But the new photos, coupled with the designer label, are just too good to resist. It’s black but, whatever, it’s sexy and it’s PRADA. This isn’t just a dressed up version of an already existing handset like the Dolce Gabbana Razr.

The LG KE850 Prada phone, which looks like Apple’s iPhone to me, will be going on sale in select mobile shops and PRADA stores in Europe (read: the UK, France, Germany and Italy) at the end of February, and in parts of Asia by March.

Prada Phone LG KE850

While I’m at it, I’d like to take a moment to moan about the quality of mobile phones / cell phones available in the US. I’ve voiced more than once my annoyance at being relegated to the ubiquitous (and by ubiquitous I mean ‘Even the terribly unfashionable girl who still has 1980’s hair has one’) RAZr whenever I’m in America.

Yeah, I know, I could pay roaming charges on my British baby but…not gonna happen. I just bought my US laptop for half it’s UK price. Why can’t I get a decent phone here? Why can’t I get the PRADA? *Sigh*

Technophiles go here.

Apple iPhone

Apple iPhone

I really don’t know what to say about the iPhone. Except this: I want one. Now.

The gadget world has been all abuzz recently about this 3-n-1 little beauty due out sometime this summer. Maybe. (See Legal-ease Stuff).

Apple’s iPhone is this. A state of the art mobile phone, a widescreen iPod (for video and photos) with touch controls and an internet communications device with “desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching”.

If you’re interested in new and improved technical bits, google “iPhone” or go straight to Apple.

Blackberry Pearl - White

Blackberry Pearl White

This morning I sat down to google BLACKBERRY PEARL - the spiffy black one - because I’m sorta craving it this week. (Yeah, my girlfriends crave chocolate. I crave gadgets. And handbags. But that’s another blog.) And I noticed this particular piece of eye candy is now available in white - or pearl, or whatever. I still prefer the sleek steely look of the original, mind, but I thought it worth the note that the Pearl will now be doing a little more to live up to it’s name.

FYI: The Blackberry Pearl in Pearl is being launched today by T-Mobile, my use-to-be provider.

New 3G iPhone still not pink

CNN is reporting that Apple announced on Monday a much faster iPhone that’s half the price of the current model. Problem is - there is STILL no pink or nice girly color model on the cards. While there is a white iPhone version available, it isn’t enough Steve Jobs!

The news is expected to address one of the biggest complaints about the hugely popular iPhone: That its Internet browsing is too slow. CEO Steve Jobs said the new iPhone, which is based on 3G technology, is 36% faster than top rival Nokia’s N95 smartphone.Apple Iphone 3G
As Fortune.com first reported, the new 8-gigabyte iPhone will cost $199 and a 16-gigabyte version will cost $299. Jobs says the new iPhone will be available worldwide starting July 11. It will allow up to six hours of Web browsing and five hours of talk time.

Jobs announced the 3G iPhone, which had been rumored for months, at the company’s annual World Wide Developers conference in San Francisco.
