Eva Solo Fridge Carafe

Eva Solo Fridge Carafe

The eva solo fridge carafe. Love this simple, classic milk bottle shape. I’m a sucker for anything retro. Am thinking about moving homes just to find a kitchen to fit the SMEG…which I don’t have yet but will do soon.

The mouth of the carafe is large enough for ice cubes and sliced lemons and features a flip flop lid that automatically opens when you pour. Best of best? It can be fitted with a colourful neoprene cover to keep the contents cold. Unzip and remove the cover and the carafe becomes dishwasher friendly.

Samsung Hauzen Washing Machine

Don’t cha wish your washer was hot like mine! If you’re not channelling the Pussycat Dolls, you’re doing it wrong. Take a look at the Hauzen Washing Machine.

Samsung Hauzen Washing Machine

Should have known we could count on Samsung to bring us a household appliance that’s more than just an industrial standard chicken-in-a-basket piece of equipment.

This isn’t a new age washer, just a pretty one. With designer Andre Kim opting for glamour over gadgetry. The Samsung Hauzen won’t boil your tea for you, but if a gilded finish, stainless steel door ring and a royal emblem on the glass is what you’re looking for. Look no further.

The paint job is a little Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and will go a long way toward clashing with the Mediterranean feel of my kitchen, but who cares. I bet you wish your washer was hot like mine.

FrancisFrancis! X5 Espresso Machine

FrancisFrancis X5 Espresso Machine

I hear “X5″ I think “BMW”. That’s just me. The other day my dear friend Clare - a total Nigella - told me she’d just ordered the FrancisFrancis! X5 Espresso Machine. In pink. She says “It has a 48-ounce water tank with rear access and a battery-powered clock on the front.” I say “Great. Will stop by to try it out sometime soonish” and think Does it also come with a compass in the stock?

Then I go straight to my Product Review Source. The X5 is small and shiny and comes in a rainbow of colours. But it looks nothing like an airplane or ship that might be invisible to radar - despite the manufacturer’s claims.

Vacuum Shoes

Vacuum Shoes

Because I’m lazy. Because my mother always said Electrolux was the best. Because they’re kinda nifty and Oh So Sci Fi.

Never mind there appears to be no place to store the dirt or monitor the power. If these Electrolux Vacuum Shoes aren’t gadgety - nothing is.

Smart Plate. The Ukranians do it again.

Dr. Hryhory Chausovsky is the latest medical professional to jump into the weight loss arena. The Ukrainian scientist has invented a Smart Plate that stops overeating in it’s tracks with clever one liners. Get greedy and load up on too much macaroni and cheese and sensors embedded inside this bit of gadgetry will trigger a “Stop right there” or a “Where’s your will power?” comment.

I’d totally buy one of these things. But I’d ignore it. Just like I ignore that inner beasty of mine that keeps trying to convince me chocolate is hard on the thighs.

Smeg Refrigerator

Smeg Refrigerator

Maybe a little on the large side as far as gadgets go, but pretty. And totally retro-tastic baby! A friend of mine has a Smeg Fridge. I love it and want to live in his house because of it. I’m also after an aga. Maybe a red one.

Also comes in pastel. For the pinkophiles.
