14k Gold and Diamond USB drive

Can you tell we are obsessed with diamonds? Even better when those shiny beauties are placed in normally boring looking gadgets. Take for instance this way over the top 14K real gold USB drive which is, as Born Rich puts it, festooned with VS quality diamonds. Read more…?

A computer monitor fit for a princess

designer-desktop.jpgWhen I’m not trying to finish my novel the old fashioned way (pen and paper) I’m having to type in front of a very boring computer monitor. Wouldn’t it be great to spruce it up a little? Say some nice gold edging, marble, that kind of thing.

Well, the team at Steampunk have done just that and made it into a lovely writing unit fit for a king or, as in my case, princess.

Some of the highlights include: The finish is a good match for the 19th Century gas lamp arms that I bought from Sequential Glass. The gold painted piece of trim from Michael’s finished off the base. The knobs that connect the screen to the gas lamp arms are kitchen cabinet knobs from True Value Hardware.

Genius!

Tulip Ego Love Edition Carry Case Laptop

Tulip Ego Love Edition Carry Case Laptop

If anyone can actually track one of these little babies down do let me know. I’ve been perusing Barney’s - who have those dull and dark blue ones on the rack - with no luck. Sure, it’s not Valentines Day yet, but who can wait.

I absolutely love the Tulip Ego Love Edition Carry Case Laptop. And if I’m ever gonna pay $5000+ for a vanity laptop, it’ll be this one. The leather wrapped case gives me the same goosebumps I get when entering a Mulberry Boutique. Then there’s that stellar silver pendant. Apparently they come in a variety of colours as well. But who cares. It’s the Love Edition, after all.

Pepper Pad 3. Handheld Computer.

Pepper Pad 3

I suffer from something that feels like ADD but isn’t. It basically means I can’t sit down and relax without checking my email, perusing ebay, updating my blog and reading celebrity gossip. I like to watch t.v. and surf the net. My other half can’t stand it. I don’t care.

Que Pepper Pad. The Pepper Pad 3 is a handheld web computer that fits perfectly on the laps of ladies who just want to kick back, relax and catch the latest episode of Grey’s.

“Instant entertainment at your fingertips.” It’s pretty much just the internet. A PC without the ‘C’ functions. But if we’re going strictly for entertainment, this doesn’t really matter. There’s nothing really impressive about it except the pretty pink color. But it does have all your basics: browsing (firefox), instant messaging, journaling, music and photo libraries. And games.

I’ll probably get one. Because it’s my job.

Luxeed Colorful Keyboard

Luxeed Colorful Keyboard

I’m posting this gadget just because I love the look of the product page. It reminds me of the bedroom I wish I had when I was five.

Luxeed’s new colour keyboard really is something straight out of Whoville. The board can be personalised by turning each key one of 512 different colours. I prefer the candy shades, but if you’re into primaries, you can do that too. I’m not sure how serious you’d be taken at the office though.

Those with photo-sensitive epilepsy or an aversion to striking light patterns in general, should probably stay away.
