Philips goes Swarovski crystal crazy

philips-crystal-goodies.jpgPhilips has decked out a whole heap of technology in lovely Swarovski crystals. The company is clearly targeting women who love shiny gadgets by saying these accessories take “technology to a fashionable new level for women.”

Various headphone and USB memory devices are fully fitted out, all ready to be snapped up by women who really want to ramp up their gadget fashions, according to the team at Engadget.

BenQ T700 digital camera tickles us pink

Take notice electronic giants! If you make pink girly gadgets, the female demographic is sure to follow. BenQ takes this approach with two new seven megapixel digital cameras filled to the brim with functions but all stored in a super slim design. And good news for the boys out there, the camera is also available in a variety of colors - Cool Silver, Midnight Black, Vixen-Red and Pearl White.

This tiny camera, at a mere 14.9mm, takes the record as the world’s slimmest 7-megapixel camera with a 3.0” touch panel display. T700 is equipped with an array of functions including S.S.F. (Super Shake-Free) system which helps stabilize your images when you aren’t. S.S.F. helps you record photos and videos with brighter, clearer and more natural colors.

The T700 also supports high ISO value: ISO 4000 in movie recording move and ISO 1200 in photo mode, letting you better capture fast-moving objects or taking photos in low light conditions.

Sony multicolored laptop launch

sony-vaio-cr.jpgEngadget is reporting that Sony’s worst kept secret, the Santa Rosa-based Vaio CR series has finally been shown.

Best of all, Sony is continuing to embrace multi-colors for these swanky new laptops, instead of the usual boring silver / grey / black look so beloved by far too many companies.

With nice LED keyboard-bordering and the option to pick up a color-coordinated mouse and bag too - what more could a girl want? You can pick this beauty up from $1,350 for Core 2 Duo T7100 goodness and a whopping 2GB of RAM.

A computer monitor fit for a princess

designer-desktop.jpgWhen I’m not trying to finish my novel the old fashioned way (pen and paper) I’m having to type in front of a very boring computer monitor. Wouldn’t it be great to spruce it up a little? Say some nice gold edging, marble, that kind of thing.

Well, the team at Steampunk have done just that and made it into a lovely writing unit fit for a king or, as in my case, princess.

Some of the highlights include: The finish is a good match for the 19th Century gas lamp arms that I bought from Sequential Glass. The gold painted piece of trim from Michael’s finished off the base. The knobs that connect the screen to the gas lamp arms are kitchen cabinet knobs from True Value Hardware.

Genius!

Password Pink Panties

pinkpasswordpanties.jpgThe headline says it best. You can now get yourself togged up with a nifty pair of pink panties which can be used to record username and passwords for Google, for example. One problem is the need to actually undress to view the the username and password and very possibly the ability to read letters upside down. But then I don’t think these things are actually meant for a real practical purpose.

Buy The Apple iPhone On 29th June

appleiphone.jpgApple has finally announced that June 29th will be the date the iPhone will be available to purchase for only $499 for the 4GB version and $599 for the 8GB monster. Okay, only isn’t the best word here as you will be locked into a contract with AT&T for two years and have to fork over an additional monthly fee.

But who cares. Sure, Apple could of really made the girly world smile with a nice pink version - but I’m sure there will be some little business at this very moment creating a whole slew of sleeves, covers and stickers for the device.

MP3 Player Cleans Skin As You Listen

You may be like me when it comes to pressing gadgets against my skin, I can sometimes break out horribly. Well, there is a funky new MP3 player from Japan (where else?!) which may actually help as it, get ready for this claim, cleans skin as you listen to the music. Erm, how many MP3 players do you normally press against your skin anyway?

mpion

The product by mpion uses negative Ions and, according to Tech, can clean skin pores when applied to the face far better than old-fashioned soap and water. Apparently, the two modes that can be activated alternately banish microscopic dirt or help diffuse skin cream.

Well, that’s the marketing buff anyway. For over $150 it’s not exactly a cheap gizmo and it only comes with 128MB of memory for the music.
