TokiDoki. Clothes and Shoes and Stuff.

TokiDoki Shoes

I’m only slightly ashamed to say things tokidoki make me feel all pink and girly on the inside. It’s the same feeling you get from Hello Kitty. The sense that you’ve been slightly brainwashed into thinking something an eight year old would like is pretty.

A friend of mine, who is into all styles Japanese, dropped me a note to say that TokiDoki are launching a clothing line at the end of the month and that the tokidoki shoes will be available from Fornarina.

Ah, Japanisme!

Vacuum Shoes

Vacuum Shoes

Because I’m lazy. Because my mother always said Electrolux was the best. Because they’re kinda nifty and Oh So Sci Fi.

Never mind there appears to be no place to store the dirt or monitor the power. If these Electrolux Vacuum Shoes aren’t gadgety - nothing is.

Hello Kitty Fender Guitars

Hello Kitty Fender Guitar

Remember the CRIBS episode a few years back where Mariah Carey takes MTV inside her ridiculously expensive Manhattan Penthouse? Where she had an in-house hair studio? If you do you’ll know why I think about the pop diva whenever I see anything Hello Kitty. That goes doubly so for these two darlings.

Hello Kitty Sratocasters. Along the lines of that classic Fender design. Get it in black or, of course, pink.

Hello Kitty Fender Stratocasters Pricetag: A respectable $199

Aluminum Rhino Skin for iPod Shuffle

Rhino Skin iPod Shuffle

I’m still using my almost-original, the iPod Mini - in pink no less - but it keeps falling off my arm at the gym. So I’m after a Shuffle. White bores me and black is for boys. Solution? These lovely aluminum covers with neoprene linings. Grab a four pack in red, pink, blue and green.

Aluminum Rhino Skin for iPod Shuffle Pricetag: $19.95

GHD Professional Ceramic Hair Straightener

GHD Professional Ceramic Straighteners

I own two GHD professional ceramic straighteners. I bought the first one a few years ago in the UK. I wear my hair long and try to keep it in the best condition possible so I’m really cautious about what I use on it. These ceramic plates are the best. Yup. Better than Chi or Sedu. I loved mine so much that I bought a second pair for use when I’m in America…my previous ones running off European voltage. Worth the money. But be sure to buy a good sealer. And like any super heating tools, don’t overuse.

T3 Evolution : Tourmaline Hair Dryer

T3 Tourmaline HairDryer

I’m pretty laissez faire about most things ‘primpy’. Not when it comes to my hair. I’m hair vain. I admit it. And I’ve been curious about the T3 for a while. Perfectly prepared to spend the big bucks on something that really worked…I worried that all the praise was just hype - celebrity hair stylists and all. I worried for naught. My hair is really thick and wavy and long and I blow dry it every day - all this inevitably leads to bad breakage. The Evolution is suppose to dry hair super fast and super smooth. (Did I say super smooth?) It absolutely does both. It cuts my drying time in half. Doesn’t burn my face up with the heat. And has a nifty ‘cool’ air button which really does pump out cool air … not just less hot air … which seals in shine. I know, I know. I’m a walking commercial. I can’t help it. I’d go out and buy it today, if he hadn’t already bought it for me.

T3 Evolution Tourmaline Hair Dryer Pricetag: $300
