Nicole Miller Cell Phone Case

A funky design from otherwise prim and proper American designer Nicole Miller. The new cell phone case in lovely silk taffeta is as brightly colored as an Easter Egg and as Corseted as Ms Antoinette herself. The case measures 3.8″ x 2.2″ x 1.2″ making it suitable for a selection of different phones. I carry my iPod in it myself. So should you.

No Touch Alarm Card

No Touch Alarm Card

When I first moved to the Big Bad City I lived in fear of pickpockets. I never carried anything in my trousers, on my shoulder or on my back. I preferred instead to bundle it all in my arms like an overdressed vagrant. That was before the No Touch Alarm Card - a little promotional device you slip in your side pocket or handbag. I don’t use it, mind. I’ve learned to minimise and simplify. But back in the day, I would have been the first in line for the pickpocket alarm.

The No Touch Alarm Card is a personal safety alarm device. The credit card sized gadget has a built-in one sensor, which reacts to light and sounds an alarm when exposed to even a small amount of light. Place it in your pocket or bag alongside valuables and it sounds off if it’s about to be lost or lifted.

Fully customised designs for companies looking for a little extra publicity.

MOTORIZR Z3

Motorizr Z3

Pretty beats power in Motorola’s latest goody. More for the ladies than the gentlemen, the MOTORIZR Z3 is Moto’s first attempt at the slider design. This snazzy new slimline LCD mobile, according to CNET, has a satisfactory call quality similar to the GSM KRZR, a “respectable” batter life of 6.5 hours and a suped up volume level.

The built in camera got less than savory reviews as did the button layout. The speakerphone isn’t extraordinary either, but hey, it’s pretty. And red. CNet says it’s a solid performer ladies.

Red Sumo Laptop Sleeve. Padded and Pretty.

I’m loving me some Sumo today. A few weeks ago I looked high and low for an affordable girly alternative to the black targus office bag I’ve been lugging my laptops around in for four years. I ended up getting some sort of sorry excuse for a sleeve instead of the real deal.

Sumo Laptop Sleeve

This morning I came across this - browsing Amazon Computer Accessories in a last ditch effort for Christmas Presents when I came across these little goodies.

The Sumo Laptop case (Model 88701SUMO for the interested few) is a 15″ Ladies Nylon 2 Pocket . Go on. Say that in one breath. There’s an extra compartment to help organize all your odds and ends. You know, pens and stuff. Should fit 15in. PowerBooks and any PCs with dimensions up to 13.7in. x 9.5in.

The Sumo Sleeve is made of the same soft, squishy and strong material as most Sumo bags. At only 12 inches wide , the red padded sleeve’s a little more compact than traditional cases. But perfect for me. I’m ordering one now.

Smart Plate. The Ukranians do it again.

Dr. Hryhory Chausovsky is the latest medical professional to jump into the weight loss arena. The Ukrainian scientist has invented a Smart Plate that stops overeating in it’s tracks with clever one liners. Get greedy and load up on too much macaroni and cheese and sensors embedded inside this bit of gadgetry will trigger a “Stop right there” or a “Where’s your will power?” comment.

I’d totally buy one of these things. But I’d ignore it. Just like I ignore that inner beasty of mine that keeps trying to convince me chocolate is hard on the thighs.

Smart Plate Pricetag: No idea.
